Gallant Bullfighting Vintage Art Now Available -- The art of bullfighting is a controversial tradition of Spanish origin that has captured audiences as far back as the Roman era. While still practiced today, bullfighting remains to be a culturally renowned sport that provides both an elements of danger and power in the battle of man versus beast. Early cave drawings indicate that the art of bullfighting was originally designed as a means of worship and of the ultimate designation of a man?s ability as a warrior to overcome the power of the beat. Bulls indicate strength, stubbornness and tenacity, which during centuries of war was a test of nobility and preparation of battles. Bullfighting was also used during the 18th century as a way for noblemen to compete for the royal daughters on a quest for their hand in marriage.
