Biography: Marcello Nizzoli (1887-1969, Italy) was born in Boretto, Italy, about 80 kilometers northwest of Bologna. He studied at the Scuola die Belle Arti in Parma. He initially painted in the Futurism style. In the 1920s, he designed first Art Deco scarves, then posters for Campari, F/N Motorcycles, Citroen, OM, VOV, Moto Sacoche, and other clients. Later he worked as an industrial designer for Olivetti, eventually becoming head product-design consultant. He died in 1967 in Camogli, Italy.
