A simultaneously revealing and restrictive affair for the ladies, the reveillon must have been a gentlemans delight, and who better than Jean-Gabriel Domergue, illustrator of elegance, refinement and feminine grace to present it. Kuppenheimer Mens Dress Clothes

This is a rare reproduction of a vintage Men's fashion advertising poster by Joseph Leyendecker for Kuppenheimer Mens Dress Clothes. Three men of different age ranges preparing for a day on the golf course in their sophisticated Kuppenheimer clothing. Leyendecker 1931. As if there was ever any doubt, Leyendecker rolls out this trio heading out for a day on the links, clearly showing that no matter what recreational activity youre indulging in or into what age bracket you happen to fall, Kuppenheimer can dress you in style. Although he was one of Americas favorite illustrators and trend setters in graphic design, Leyendecker remained an intensely private person throughout his life. He was born in Germany of Dutch ancestry and brought to the United States at the age of eight with his family who settled in Chicago. He studied at the Chicago Art Institute while apprenticing as an engraver; from the age of twenty he made his living as an illustrator. His creations for mens fashions represented a revolutionary achievement: his drawings became synonymous with elegance in America. From 1910 on, he lived in New Rochelle, NY, where he died at the age of 77. See Kuppenheimer Mens Dress Clothes enlarged.

Hermanwile Clothes Fine Art Vintage Giclee Print

This is a vintage fine art giclee print featuring an advertising for Hermanwile's mens and young mens clothing line. An ad for Hermanwile run in the Cass City Chronicle of 1906 stated ' Real value can only be had when the clothing includes, not only durability of materials and good workmanship, but style and fit as well.' They prided themselves on quality along with affordability. The ad would certainly suggest this, tailored overcoats for $12-$20, and 'splendidly tailored' suits for $10-$20, a real bargain indeed. Vintage Waschanstalt/Zurich Men's Fashion

This is a rare vintage men's fashion shirt advertisement for Waschanstalt Zurich Dress Shirts by Robert Hardmeyer. 1905 Rooster struts his stuff. This phenomenally surreal image for a Zurich laundry service trots out a rooster who has decided to paint the town red, and wanting something a little special to impress the chicks, has borrowed a freshly-laundered, gleaming tuxedo shirt and marching walking stick from the farmhouse in order to really strut his stuff. A unique vision certainly worth crowing about. Hardmeyer, a Swiss painter, illustrator and poster artist, looked at his poster work, most notably for the Zurich wine merchant J. Diener, merely as a way to make a living. Though he viewed his graphic career as a way to support his preferred passion of illustrating Clarner schoolbooks and childrens books, of which he even wrote a few, his select body of work sets him apart as one of the pioneers of the art of the poster. Copertoni Impermeabili Moretti Raincoat Art Print

This is a very high quality reproduction of an original vintage Copertoni Impermeabili Moretti Raincoat advertising poster. I'd imagine that it would be quite an undertaking to actually fit an elephant for a custom raincoat, so using a Moretti tarp might be the smartest way to go in the name of pachyderm comfort. And from his satisfied backward glance, it would appear as if this tusked fellow was quite pleased with the results. As for why his passenger opted for an umbrella over a sturdy Moretti tarpaulin raincoat, the brand that's eternal come rain or shine, would appear to be an excellent example of a glaring error in good judgement.
