By the turn of the century, Monet was certainly well established and hailed as France's leading landscape painter. Over the course of his life, Monet held many art exhibitions to include those shared and solo art ventures with other well known artists, each of which were extreme successes. From his time at Giverny to his death in 1926, Claude Monet saw the rise of many avant-garde painting and styles evolve – Cubism, Dada, Surrealism and Fauvism – just to name a few. He even outlived his first son and lost a few fellow artist friends, such as: Paul Cézanne Edgar Degas and Auguste Renoir and Auguste Rodin. Enjoy Art has many vintage paintings, prints on canvas, oversized stretched canvas paintings and fine art giclee of Claude Monet’s friends during that era. Monet remained in Giverny during the First World War, saying he would rather die by his life's passion than to flee in the face of imminent German attack. Monet demonstrated his French patriotism by giving vegetables to area hospitals for the wounded soldiers and also gave numerous art pieces and paintings away to patriotic causes. One of Claude Monet’s most generous gestures was the day after Armistice when he donated two fine art paintings to his country in honor of their triumph. This donation was the basis for Monet’s eventual offering of 22 paintings from the water lily garden fine art collection which was then hung at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris after his death in 1926.
