Though at first glance this scene of mythological release appears to be for a brand of bike whose name would seem to hint at the comfort their ride provides, the lack of detail given to the motorcycle itself indicated otherwise, therefore placing attention firmly on the tires that make you feel as if they aren’t even touching the road. Peugeot Motorcyclist Fine Art Giclee Print

As he rounds a bend on his seaside tour, the speeding motorcyclist takes his gaze off the road in order to look the viewer straight in the eye, almost daring anyone to challenge him on the quality of his alabaster ride or his matching sense of fashion. The design makes excellent use of the shape of the rocks, echoing them in the offshore outcropping and even in the clouds puffing about the horizon, as well as the artist's magnificent choice of colors. Motosacoche Grand Prix Fine Art Giclee Print

Quite simply, a beautiful fine art giclee print, romantic to a fault, breathtaking to the extreme and noble beyond compare, the sort of epic cinematic scope one might associate with Gone With The Wind, but not with a motorbike firm regardless of the quality of the product. Switzerland had some twenty motorcycle manufacturing companies, starting in 1899, the year in which Motosacoche was founded. Henri and Armand Dufaux started out producing small engine for bicycles, but devoted themselves almost immediately to the production of motorcycles and engines of 250cc to 1000cc, under the MAG trademark. In the early part of the century, horsepower was related to engine size, usually for tax reasons. To the 350cc V twin engine on this motorcycle was credited with 3 hp. Such was the racing success of this motorcycle, however, that the power output can safely be put at between 10 and 12 horsepower, an astonishing figure for that time. Motos Peugeot 1928 Fine Art Giclee Print

This is a fine art giclee print featuring a speeding Peugeot motorcycle leaving a streak, the colors of the flag of France. The zooming motorcycle is only a dark blur, but being a French make, it leaves a blue, white and red streak in its wake––a very simple, yet imaginative way to inject a nationalistic tone into the design. Although previously offered as the work of an anonymous hand, the posters inclusion in the above reference material has let us to identify the designer as Marton, an artist employed by the DAM agency between 1928 and 1931.
