Monaco Grand Prix 1948 Fine Art Giclee Print
The old castle battlements are the background for the 1948 race-the resumption of the Grand Prix after an 11-year hiatus. For reasons that are not altogether clear, Geo Ham signed his works Geo Matt-sort of an inversion of his already-shortened last name-during this period. This beautiful piece, part of an exclusive line of incredibly high quality commemorative edition Giclee prints, is printed on a thick, 100% acid free, imported heavy archival stock. The finest museum standard archival water-based organic inks and paints are used to produce a stunningly brilliant piece with a rich, non-glare matte finish. This is a rare Giclee, and is unusual in that it is not mass produced. Other limited edition prints are produced by the hundreds or even thousands, while this piece is printed only one at a time, individually made and hand numbered.
