Grande Semaine d'Aviation Giclee Print

This is a fine art giclee print of a vintage advertising poster for the Grande Semaine d'Aviation Show. A pioneer in automotive poster art. Montaut had created hundreds of lithographs capturing scenes from major automotive, aeronautical and nautical events by 1910. They are full of motion, speed and tense energy––the very antithesis of this romantic image for a weeklong air show at Reims. In the light of the setting sun, the woman waving at the glider takes on a near-fluorescent glow. This is the larger format.
