1930 Broadway Actress in Lovers Murder Movie Zita Johann was a Hungarian-born actress who gained considerable fame on Broadway and only rarely appeared in films. This stunning poster, for an independent production casts an unflinching eye at the anguish of Nora, a woman who loves a Governor so much that she takes the blame for a murder which he committed, confident that he would pardon her. However, he transmits the stay of execution order too late, and after discovering his error, commits suicide.
